Special Events & Private Parties
We love hosting private events and large parties - feel free to get in touch with us directly on email@example.com to discuss how we can best accommodate you, whether it's a seated dinner, canapé and cocktail reception, corporate break-out afternoons etc.
We are able to open specially for larger events outside of our usual operating times e.g. late afternoons, Saturday lunch and Sundays.
We will hold tables for up to 15 minutes if you’re running late – please do let us know if you anticipate being later than this, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Equally, if your numbers need to change, please get in touch with as much notice as possible, as this will give us a better chance of being able to accommodate.
Our standard booking times are 1.5 hours for 2 people, 2 hours for 3-6 people, 2.5 hours for 7-15 people, and 3 hours for larger groups. If you need to adjust this, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to arrange it for you.
For larger groups we have terms that come into play as follows:
Set Menu - required for groups of 10-15 people, and can be found on our website; a pre-order for this sent to firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours of the booking will be gratefully received; for lunchtimes we offer a 2 course (plus welcome drink) version for £5 less;
Family Style Sharing Menu – required for groups of 16 or more, this is an array of dishes served communally, so there’s no need for a pre-order; the menu can be found on our website; if anyone has any dietary restrictions, please let us know with as much notice as possible so that we can make suitable arrangements to maximise their enjoyment;
Service Charge – a discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all bills;
Drinks pre-orders – for very large parties (20+) we gently suggest getting in touch to discuss drinks selection, so that we can ensure sufficient stock levels are in place for your party; we can also arrange welcome punches etc.
Minimum Spend - This may vary according to extreme seasonal demand e.g. July 4th or Thanksgiving, though the standard rates are, exclusive of service charge, and inclusive of VAT:
the ‘Private Dining Room’ [PDR] (groups of up to 16), exclusive all-night use attracts a minimum spend of £500;
the ‘Main Room’ (groups of up to 27), exclusive all-night use attracts a minimum spend of £1,000;
Full venue hire (up to 42 seated, or 75 standing) attracts a minimum spend of £1,500;
Alternative spends may be discussed dependent upon context e.g. special opening hours, particularly off-peak times of year;
Credit Card Details – required to secure bookings of 7+; they will be securely held on our booking platform (Resy), and your card will not be charged anything except for the following situations where it will incur a £10pp fee:
Short notice cancellation – less than 24 hours’ for 7-10 people, less than 72 hours’ notice for 11-19 people, less than a week’s notice for groups of 20+ or venue hires;
No-showing – not attending your reservation, or doing so substantially outside of your booked time;
Substantial headcount variations – a change of 3 or more people with less than 24 hours’ notice for groups up to 15.
For venue hires, the cancellation fee will be equivalent to the minimum spend requirement of £1,500 for normal bookings, or the larger minimum spend agreed for seasonal bookings. As a result, we strongly urge customers seeking venue hire to be certain of attendance before booking, and to give as much notice as possible should issues arise. We’re pleased to say that we’ve never had to levy this charge, and hope we never will!
